With the ever increasing power of the Dodge platforms whatever can be done to extend the life of the HP8 transmissions becomes a priority. As with any performance part it needs to operate in an ideal temperature range.
This HP8 180° Thermostat Kit by MMX will help bring your transmission up to operating temperatures as quickly as possible as it will prevent flow to the cooler until the fluid reaches 180°(factory is 195-205). The fluid will simply loop through the thermostat back to the transmission until the set temperature is reached at which time the entire cooling cycle will be utilized.
