HEMI MDS Delete Kits & MDS Repair

MMX / Modern Muscle Xtreme Gen3 HEMI MDS delete kits are built for owners who want Multi-Displacement System removed the right way — not just turned off in a tune. Whether you are preventing the dreaded HEMI tick, repairing failed MDS lifters, or building a performance cam package, these kits pair non-MDS hardware with the support parts shops actually use on 5.7L and 6.4L engines.

Choose application-specific kits for 2005–2008 5.7, 2009–2026 5.7 (RAM vs LX/LC/Jeep), and 6.4L / 392 car and truck platforms. Kits are assembled around proven Mopar / MMX components — non-MDS camshaft options, quality non-MDS (Hellcat-style) lifters where included, MDS block-off plugs, and supporting hardware as listed on each product. Need plugs only or a components-listed build? Shop MDS plugs and à-la-carte options below.

Important: A full mechanical MDS delete requires PCM calibration so the computer stops commanding MDS. 2015 and newer vehicles typically need a PCM unlock (not included with the kit). Always match year, engine (5.7 vs 6.4), and car vs truck before ordering — or call MMX for fitment.

Why delete HEMI MDS?

  • Lifter / cam protection strategy — MDS lifter roller failures are a leading cause of HEMI tick and related cam damage when ignored.
  • Full-time 8-cylinder operation — no 4-cylinder MDS transitions under light load.
  • Performance foundation — ideal when you are already in the engine for a cam, oiling upgrades, or power-adder prep.
  • Shop-tested combinations — MMX kits are organized by platform so you are not guessing cam, lifter, and plug fitment.

MDS disable vs full MDS delete

Tune-only MDS disable turns the feature off in the PCM but leaves stock MDS lifters and cam in the engine. A full MDS delete kit replaces the hardware path (non-MDS lifters, plugs, and typically a non-MDS cam) and still requires a tune so fuel/spark strategy matches the new setup. If you already have a tick, P0300 misfire, or metal in the oil, hardware replacement matters — turning MDS off alone will not heal a flat cam lobe.

What is in a typical MMX MDS delete kit?

Contents vary by SKU — open the product page for the exact list. Common kit elements include:

  • Non-MDS camshaft (application-specific; some 6.4 kits include SRT cam options)
  • Non-MDS lifters / Hellcat-style lifter sets (where specified)
  • MDS solenoid delete plugs (block oil control passages correctly)
  • Timing and gasket support items as listed per kit

Separate listings are available for MDS plugs only, billet aluminum plugs, and MDS lifter sets if you are building a custom package.
