After thorough dyno and street testing, our Max Effort PWM dual-pump fuel system is ready for your build. This isn’t another generic dual-pump kit. It’s a true plug-and-play solution built around dual TI Automotive / Walbro 295 pumps, OEM-style pulse-width modulation using factory Hellcat fuel pump control modules, a basketed surge-tank design, fully plug-and-play wiring, a fully crimped AN feed line, and a -8 AN fuel-rail connection.
Hellcat-style pump control — without a Hellcat PCM
From day one, the goal was simple: deliver Hellcat-grade fuel-system control on R/T and Scat Pack platforms using factory Hellcat FPCM hardware and OEM-level PWM strategy.
To do that, we had to recreate the Hellcat fuel-pump control signal that would normally come from a Hellcat PCM. Our engineers designed a custom PCB and wrote the control software entirely in-house. That same development path led to another MMX first: a user-programmable companion app.
Connect via the controller’s USB-C port and adjust the system for your setup:
- Fuel pressure vs. boost strategy (1:1, 1.5:1, and more)
- Custom MAP vs. rail-pressure curves
- Live data, logging, and diagnostics
Use the app to watch pump 1 and pump 2 duty cycle, compare your MAP signal to our onboard high-quality MAP sensor, and verify fuel pressure at idle and WOT before you turn up the boost.
The controller also uses feed-forward control and adaptive learning. Adaptive learning works like fuel trims in a tune—but for rail-pressure target—adding or subtracting pump duty cycle to hold pressure. Feed-forward anticipates big demand (e.g. wide-open throttle) and adds duty cycle early—proactive, not only reactive.
Why we kept the OEM-style surge basket
Control is only half the system. How the pumps live in the tank is just as important.
Most aftermarket dual-pump solutions remove the OEM surge tank—the “fuel basket.” Think of it as a tank inside the tank. The pumps sit in a basket that’s meant to stay immersed so they always have fuel at the inlet for cooling and supply. Turbine pumps need that fuel “load”; without it they can overspeed and fail—and your engine can see lean spikes.
A proper surge tank is continuously refilled with cool fuel, typically by routing a small amount of pressurized fuel through a venturi (jet pump). That creates low pressure at a port in the basket and pulls fuel up from the main tank. Fresh fuel constantly fills and overflows the basket, so the pumps stay wet, cool, and fed.
Our Max Effort system keeps a basketed surge-tank design—so you get dual 295 capability and Hellcat-style PWM control without throwing away the fuel-management strategy that keeps high-flow turbine pumps alive.
